Hi. My name is Rishi and I am raising funds for “Hope for Children” by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2019. “Hope for Children” is a wonderful Charity which makes great strides to improve the lives of children by giving them access to education and healthcare. Developing their family’s confidence and allowing them to move in to a life free from poverty. These vulnerable people face significant challenges and “HOPE” provides them with a helping hand.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the largest free-standing mountain in the world. It stands at a stunning height of 5,895 metres. It’s immense height and plethora of ecological systems make it a challenge to reach the summit along a 67 km trek over 9 days. However, this only increases my determination to get to the top!
My own challenge has been to overcome the disadvantage of Visual Impairment. With the outstanding support I have received from Roxeth Primary and Whitmore High School I have gained entry to the London School of Economics to study Maths with Economics. In addition, I need to prove that my disability does not restrict my own desire to progress and climb over life’s challenges. Please support me in this endeavour by sponsoring me. I will update my preparations and progress to get expedition fit over time.
I have set myself an ambitious fundraising goal and hope that you can contribute towards achieving it. However big or small, every penny counts! Thank you in advance.
